Former Stanford forward Cameron Brink announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Ben Felter on Monday. The couple have been dating since 2021 after meeting at Stanford University.
Felter chose the most romantic place as he proposed at the Shangri-La Paris Hotel, right in front of the Eiffel Tower. Brink was in the city for the fashion week where she attended the Balenciaga show.
"Yes in every lifetime 🤍♾️," the forward wrote on Instagram.
Cameron Brink's former and current teammates and colleagues congratulated the couple in the comments. USC star Kiki Iriafen, who played three seasons with Brink at Stanford, wrote:
"OMGGGG🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️. Congrats!!!🫶🏾🫶🏾"
UConn Huskies guard Paige Bueckers, who was part of the UConn team that beat Brink's Stanford team in the 2022 Final Four, also reacted in the comments as she wrote:
"Omgggggggg congrats😍"
Ben Felter was a part of the Rowing team at Stanford from 2020 when he enrolled in the bachelor's in computer science program. He is currently pursuing his master's in the same program with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence. Felter also works as a technical intern at the Defense Innovation Unit.
The couple has been open about their relationship on social media, celebrating their anniversaries and vacations together. In a June 2024 interview with People, Brink credited Felter for introducing her to new hobbies.
"My boyfriend has turned me into a huge art lover," Cameron said. "I love pottery and watercolor, even though I'm terrible. It's really lovely to just sit down and work your brain in a different way for a little bit.”
Ben Felter is one of Cameron Brink's biggest supporters, often celebrating her achievements online. He has also been with the forward as she heals from her torn ACL injury.
Cameron Brink is focusing on her off-court activities while recovering
In June, Brink's rookie WNBA season came to an end as she sustained an ACL tear. She has since undergone surgery and is on the path to recovery. While she may be injured, the LA Sparks forward has not let it become her setback.
During a chat at CNBC and Boardroom's Game Plan Summit earlier this month, Brink said:
"Keeping the main thing, the main thing is really important because even though my W contract may not be as much as I'm making off the court, that is how I show up in this space and that's what I love to do."
"So I've been rehabbing really hard. I did a shoot with LegalZoom, probably seven days after I got injured… and it just kind of reminded me like this injury is not going to limit me. I can still be a businesswoman."
Brink is reportedly looking to return to playing before the next WNBA season.
