UConn stars Paige Bueckers and Kaitlyn Chen were seen jokingly pulling on teammate Azzi Fudd’s chain during a practice session. The playful moment drew irritation from some college basketball fans.
Following the Huskies' Tuesday victory against Holy Cross, footage from their practice surfaced on X/Twitter of Bueckers teasingly tugging on the buttons of side split snap pants worn by Fudd, a 5-foot-11 senior guard.
Paige Bueckers attempted to dribble past Azzi Fudd but instead tugged on the button of Fudd's pants before going for a layup. While Fudd was buttoning her pants back up, Kaitlyn Chen came over and pulled the button again, leaving both of them laughing throughout.
The clip quickly went viral and elicited a mix of reactions from fans.
"paige is so annoying 😭 azzi is so fed up and kaitlyn's the cherry on top," one user said in response to the video.
"bro paige rly is a menace to azzi ctfu," another fan wrote.
"Kaitlyn coming at the end when she already had it buttoned back up :(( poor azzibug," another one tweeted.
Here are some more reactions:
"these super seniors bothering my glorious amazing beautiful queen azzi fudd," a fan exclaimed.
"it’s this scary blonde lady bothering you beautiful??" one fan added.
"Now Kaitlyn you didn’t have to do it too???" another one wrote.
"azzi is this blond girl bothering you?" another fan showed concern.
Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd are making noise for UConn this season
UConn fans are finally getting to see their highly anticipated duo of Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd on the court this season, and the talented pair have not disappointed, helping to lead the No. 2 Huskies to a 7-0 record so far.
Despite being at Connecticut for four years, the two barely played together, with both battling injuries. Bueckers was the first to go down, followed by Fudd, leading to a series of setbacks. However, they are back this season and proving to be a formidable duo.
Fudd returned to the court on the Nov. 20 game against Fairleigh Dickinson after over a year off due to a knee injury. She played 12 minutes and scored four points.
The Bueckers-Fudd combo was on full display in the Baha Mar Women's Championship finals, where the Huskies defeated No. 18 Ole Miss in the Bahamas. Paige Bueckers equaled her season-high of 29 points while Azzi Fudd had her best game yet, dropping 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting.
