The college basketball world has been debating who should win the WNBA Rookie of the Year between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Both players are off to great rookie seasons.
Although Clark appears to be the top candidate, UConn Huskies star Paige Bueckers wouldn't give an answer either way, as she believes whoever wins the award is deserving.
"I mean, you can't go wrong with Angel Reese or Caitlin [Clark]," Bueckers said to SI.
Following SI releasing a video asking basketball players who should win the WNBA Rookie of the Year, the college basketball world reacted to the news.
"The only answer is Clark honestly. Statistics back that up too," a fan wrote on Instagram.
"Paige has the ONLY correct response," another fan wrote.
"In overall clark has better stats. Nonetheless, Angel is the closest rival. Both girls are growing fast!," a fan added.
Other college basketball fans, meanwhile, think it is Clark and no one else should be near her.
"I love me some Angel and love watching her play. But ima go with CC for rookie of the year," a fan wrote.
"Not Paige playing it safe. i’m team Clark," a fan wrote.
"Reese is nothing Clark 19 assists. Missing 2 shots and grabbing your own Miss for 2 rebounds a game. What a joke!," a fan added.
It's clear that college basketball fans feel confident that Clark should win the WNBA Rookie of the Year.
