Paige Bueckers, Sarah Strong, KK Arnold, Ice Brady and Morgan Cheli joined Jana El Alfy for a TikTok video on Sunday. The forward posted the video of herself in front of her laptop, reacting to positive news with her teammates.

A fan reshared the video on Instagram on Monday with the caption:

"What’s going on??? 🤣"

According to other fans in the comments, former UConn women's volleyball player and ticket office assistant Kayla Williams replied to the original video, congratulating Jana El Alfy on making it to law school.

Jana El Alfy is a redshirt freshman as a result of missing last season with an Achilles injury. She made a splash in the season opener against Boston University, scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. The forward earned more praise after her 12-point performance against Oregon State.

“I'm getting my confidence every game and just trying to get myself some grace, get better every day,” El Alfy said. “Just take it game by game.”

Senior guard Paige Bueckers also spoke on El Alfy's growth through the games.

“It’s huge for Jana to get that confidence boost,” Bueckers said. “She works extremely hard. She's in the gym, 24/7 and we keep telling her, as a team, like ‘You're going to see the work pay off.’"
"It's tough coming back from injury, because you want it to happen right away. So, giving yourself grace, allowing it to come to you, also forcing it to come to you by the way that you play. And I thought she did that wonderfully tonight.”

Paige Bueckers struggles a bit as the UConn Huskies continue their winning streak

After showing out with incredible performances in the first few games, Paige Bueckers showed signs of struggle as she failed to show out last week. In the 88-52 win over Holy Cross, the guard had 11 points, and in the 88-52 win over Louisville she scored eight points.

Despite this, she excelled as a playmaker, taking in rebounds and dishing out assists. UConn coach Geno Auriemma spoke of his team's performance after the game.

“This is what we're capable of doing,” Auriemma said. “Doesn't mean we're going to be able to do that every night, but we know that this is in the picture for us.”

Up next, the Huskies have a big game against Notre Dame on Thursday.
