UConn Huskies' star Paige Bueckers is a workaholic. The amount of energy and dedication she puts into her training is unparalleled. On Tuesday, Bueckers gave fans a glimpse into her rigorous offseason training regimen through a series of Instagram snaps.
"Work never stops," she wrote in the caption.
The photographs included moments of her practicing at the Bullis Bulldogs' gym facility in Potomac, Maryland. She was spotted working out with a trainer and there was also a snap of her playing with her brother Drew.
In another image, Paige Bueckers could be seen jumping high from beyond the three-point arc, aiming for the hoop. There were two training cones on either side of her which she used for agility drills. She wore a sleeveless top, shorts, and sports shoes, as she honed her skills.
Paige Bueckers impressed by Caitlin Clark's WNBA start
Paige Bueckers, a potential top pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, has been impressed by the 2024 WNBA draft's first pick Caitlin Clark's performances.
Bueckers highlighted that Clark has significantly boosted WNBA viewership this season and that her popularity has helped fans discover other talented players in the league.
"I think a lot of new eyes are watching, and they’re impressed with the level of talent, and impressed with the level of physicality. That’s kind of what the league has been," Bueckers said (via MSN). "I think Caitlin has brought so many new eyes to the game, and we appreciate that."
"When people tune in to watch her, they leave the game fans of so many more. I think the game is growing a lot. People are learning about the WNBA and how great it is, the talent level, how many stars there are. It’s impressive. I think the rookie class is doing extremely well and just to see the level of talent and just the teams and how well they're doing is fun to watch," she added.
Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark went head-to-head in the NCAA Women's Final Four in March. Iowa defeated UConn to reach the final.
The game gave fans a peek at what is ahead for women's basketball. Add Angel Reese to the list and the three standouts are poised to dominate the sport in years to come.
Besides, both Clark and Reese have made it into the WNBA All-Star team in their debut season. In 16 games played so far, Clark averages 16.0 PPG, 7.1 APG, and 5.7 RPG for Indiana while Reese averages 13.3 PPG, 11.4 RPG, and 1.9 APG in 17 games.
