Tennessee Lady Volunteers coach Kim Caldwell had a special guest, ESPN analyst Andraya Carter, who visited the program during the practice session. Carter played for the Lady Vols before she began her media career.
Caldwell is preparing hard for the first season after she took over the reins of the program this year. Women's Hoops Network shared the picture of Carter engaged in a conversation with the Lady Vols coach.
Carter played four seasons at Tennessee, from 2012 to 2016. The ESPN analyst averaged 6.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in her college basketball career. She shot 40.2 percent from the field.
Injuries marred her college basketball career and she chose to step into sports journalism. Andraya appears as an analyst in NBA G League games and covers college football as a journalist.
Carter visited the program at a time when Caldwell had encouraged great expectations around her. Lady Vols will participate in the West Palm Beach Classic on December 20–21 at Keiser University.

At Tennesse, Kim Caldwell aims high for the sky with feet on the ground
Kim Caldwell is the fourth coach of the Tennessee Lady Volunteers. Earlier, the program was led by Patt Summitt, Holly Warlick, and Kellie Harper.
After taking over the role on April 7, Caldwell laid bare how deeply she admires the challenges:
"You want to be somewhere where the expectations are high. I've never been interested in a job that didn't have high expectations and a loyal fanbase."
Many were critical of whether Caldwell would prove good enough to restore the prestige of the Lady Vols. Cadwell is confident enough to turn things around for Lady Vols but humble at the same time about Patt Summitt's legacy:
"I will never be Pat Summitt. Nobody can. But I will strive every day to be somebody she would be proud of."
Patt Summitt won eight national championships for the Lady Vols.
