Love was in full bloom as Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson shared a picture hugging his girlfriend Haley Cavinder. Ferguson, who confirmed his relationship with Cavinder in October 2023, took to his socials to share a special moment with his partner on National Girlfriend's Day.
Ferguson shared the romantic moment with Miami Hurricanes point guard Cavinder in his Instagram story and captioned it:
"GF"
The couple have been posting beautiful moments with each other since they decided to make their relationship public. Before the announcement of the relationship, fans were aware that something was cooking between the two.
Cavinder, who referred to Ferguson as "Boo" during a podcast episode, began her career with Miami. Later, she moved to the Fresno State Bulldogs.
Cavinder has a large social media following. She operates a TikTok account with her sister and teammate Hanna that has millions of followers. The large social media following has enabled her to sign NIL deals with various companies.
Ferguson played college football at Wisconsin. The Cowboys drafted him in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft.
How the love story of Ferguson and Haley Cavinder began
In late January, Haley revealed during a YouTube Q&A that the couple met through social media in June in Florida:
“He DM’d me. We went on a date and just kinda met up — and then hung out for 10 days straight.
“It was so fun because it was the Fourth of July weekend, we were always seeing each other, but it just took time... and then we started dating in October.”
Cavinder donned Ferguson's No. 87 jersey during the team's season opener. She posted the picture on Instagram, and Ferguson commented with a heart-eye emoji. Cavinder's sister commented on the post and enquired if it was a "soft launch."
