UConn coach Dan Hurley and his wife went on a date night on Monday. Andrea Hurley shared a wholesome photo of the two-time national champion coach on her Instagram story.
Andrea tagged Dan in the picture, which shows the Connecticut head coach in a casual outfit, sitting at a restaurant table and enjoying a meal. They were at El Vez and Burrito Bar, a Mexican restaurant in New York.
"WHO DEY 🐯🙄," the text in the story read.
Who dey is a common catchphrase among Cincinnati Bengals fans. Dan Hurley is a huge fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and has been spotted rocking Bengals apparel on numerous occasions.
Earlier this month, Hurley, with his family visited Paycor Stadium (previously Paul Brown Stadium) to watch the Bengals take on the New England Patriots. Dan was excited to watch his favorite team in action.
"A dream come true for the Hurley’s🖤🧡," Andrea posted on Instagram with pictures from the stadium.
Andrea talks about Dan Hurley's superstitions and weirdo room
Like most sports personalities, UConn's Dan Hurley has his own set of rituals and superstitions that he practices before the game.
During an interview with Graham Bensinger on September 11, he opened up about superstitious beliefs. His wife Andrea mentioned that a lot of people are aware of Hurley's habit of wearing a certain pair of underwear on game days.
"I participate yes, 'cause can you imagine if I didn't have the underwear ready and they lost?" she told Bensinger. "It screws me up. I do seven cherries, I cut things a certain way, just on game day. I make sure everything's like perfect."
Furthermore, Andrea gave all the insight into what actually is in Dan Hurley's "weirdo room" during the interview.
"It's got like Jesus, it's got Batman, it's got Bengals, it's got sports power finalia, it's got everything," Andrea said. "You can't even put your finger on what age person sits in this room."
"It could be any age. It can even be a priest. It could be anyone. So he sits there, that's where he does all his meditations, and he spends a lot of time in there in the morning."
Dan Hurley and Andrea Sirakides were students when they met at Seton Hall. They walked down the aisle in 1997 and are parents of two sons: Danny and Andrew.
