Former Iowa Hawkeyes star Gabbie Marshall has been busy since leaving the team to pursue a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy at North Carolina. In addition to attending her former teammate's WNBA games, she also attended a wedding.

Over the weekend, Marshall attended the wedding of former Iowa Hawkeyes linebacker Jack Campbell and former Iowa teammate Megan Meyer. She posted a snap from the wedding on her Instagram stories with the caption:

"Congrats to the two most beautiful people. I love you both and I couldn't be happier for you guys! So glad I could be a part of your special day! @_megancampbelll @_jackcampbell," Gabbie Marshall wrote.

Gabbie Marshall reinstates her social media accounts

The ever-supportive Gabbie Marshall was one of the Iowa Hawkeyes' most important players during the 2024 NCAA Tournament as they reached a second consecutive national championship game against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Before that game, Marshall found herself in a contentious situation in the Final Four clash against the UConn Huskies, which the Hawkeyes narrowly won 71-69. In the dying minutes of the game, Marshall drew an offensive foul on the then-Huskies star Aaliyah Edwards just before Paige Bueckers took the decisive shot.

That contentious call by the referee was hotly debated in college hoops circles due to the importance of the game and the timing of the call.

During an interview with ESPN's Andrea Adelson, Gabbie Marshall revealed that she got a lot of hate on social media, leading her to delete her accounts.

"I've gotten a lot of hate comments," Marshall said. "I don't know. I'm not the one that made the call. So I'm not sure why they're mad at me personally."
"I've deleted social media," she said. "I feel like it just kind of overlooked the fact that I played my butt off the whole game trying to guard her, trying to get over screens the whole game and feel like that one play just consumed everything. That's all anyone's talking about. They're not talking about the fact that it was a great game between two great teams."

Gabbie Marshall left Iowa to pursue other interests but college basketball fans will be glad that she has reinstated her social media accounts.
