The 2024-25 season is just one month away and the Iowa Hawkeyes' Jada Gyamfi, Kylie Feuerbach, Callie Levin and Addison O’Grady are ready for it. Gyamfi posted a picture of her teammates decked out in their Hawkeyes jerseys for picture day to her Instagram story.
"PICTURE DAYYYY," the forward wrote.
Kylie Feuerbach and Addison O’Grady are returning seniors while Jada Gyamfi is a junior. Callie Levin is one of five freshman recruits joining the Hawkeyes for the 2024-25 season. Iowa made major additions to the team following the exit of Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall and Molly Davis.
The Hawkeyes also have a new coach in Jan Jensen after Lisa Bluder retired after 24 years.
Kylie Feuerbach and Jada Gyamfi reveal their goals for the new college season
Kylie Feuerbach returned to playing in 2023 after missing the previous season with a knee injury. She averaged 2.6 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists while shooting 31.3%, including 29.6% from the three-point range.
When talking about her goals for the upcoming season to Sports Illustrated, Feuerbach said:
“I definitely want to do a lot more on the floor. I want to be scoring more, but right now I’m focused on the nit-picky things this summer. I can improve my game in a lot of different areas, especially offensively. I’m getting my shots up, but there are some little things on that side of the floor that I can be working on.”
Jada Gyamfi is also hoping to have a bigger impact on the games. The junior played just 28 games in the last two seasons, with most coming last year (20). She averaged 1.4 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 2023-24.
"Affecting the games, like statistically," Gyamfi said when talking about her goals via On3. "Because I did all the cheering stuff, the first few years. Don't get me wrong, I will still do that and support all my team but I definitely love to see more for time."
“I think a lot of my development has come with getting stronger and a lot more confident,” said Gyamfi (via On3). “I think I have all the right tools in my toolbox, but just being able to utilize them in the best way has been really important.”
