Mark Pope secured a new job as the Kentucky Wildcats' head coach in April. The former Wildcats hooper and enthusiast was welcomed with cheers from the fans.
According to On3 Sports, Pope purchased a mega-mansion worth $4.75 million in The Grange Estates, a luxury gated neighborhood on Paris Pike next to the Lexington Country Club.
The Fayette County Property Valuation Administrator (PVA) online database disclosed that the house is 10,492 square feet and was built in 2002. The large mansion features six spacious bedrooms, six bathrooms, an extra three half bathrooms, a pool and a detached three-car garage.

The house will successfully accommodate Mark Pope, his wife, Lee Anne, and his four daughters: Shay, Layla, Ella and Avery.
The news of Pope’s purchase of a new mansion comes just a few days after the former Kentucky head coach, John Calipari, sold his Lexington house for $3.4 million.
Here are the details on Mark Pope's contract with the Kentucky Wildcats
Per Yahoo Sports, Mark Pope signed a five-year deal worth $27.5 million. This means he will earn $5.5 million over the term of the contract and will also earn several incentives and bonuses.
Pope will receive $5 million for the 2024-25 season and an increase of $250,000 every year till the 2028-29 season. The contract also says that if the Wildcats advance to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA national championship tournament, his ensure will automatically get extended with an additional $250,000 to his salary for every extra year.
The head coach will receive $100,000 for every SEC regular-season championship won and an additional $50,000 if the team wins the SEC Tournament.
He will also receive a bonus of $250,000 for GPA and APR benchmarks. If the program terminates him before the end of his contract, it will owe him 75% of the remaining compensation on the deal.
