Miami’s Watsco Center saw a star-studded night as Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson and University of Miami quarterback Carson Beck showed up to support Haley and Hanna Cavinder during the Hurricanes’ clash against the SMU Mustangs.

Brandi Cavinder, the sister of the Cavinder twins, shared a special moment on Sunday when Ferguson and Beck appeared on the jumbotron, sporting white T-shirts with Miami-branded gold chains and an image of the Cavinder twins as they showed their support.

The Hurricanes went on to a 70-63 victory over SMU.

Haley Cavinder delivered an impressive performance on Sunday, putting the Miami Hurricanes on her back to secure a much-needed victory against the SMU Mustangs. Her 32-point outing not only snapped the Hurricanes’ seven-game losing streak but also led to a season-high, beating her previous mark of 31 points against Florida Gators on Nov.16.

Cavinder was on fire, shooting 62.5%. In 38 minutes, she consistently found ways to score, shooting 6 of 9 (66.95%) from beyond the arc. Haley's scoring prowess was the spark Miami (12-8, 2-7 Atlantic Coast Conference) needed to regain its footing after weeks of tough losses.

Cavinder also chipped in with two rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Miami shot 40.4%, leading by as much as 18 points during the game.

Cavinder has scored double figures in 19 of her 20 games this season. She leads Miami with 17.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

Darrione Rogers complemented Haley’s 32 points, with 13 points and a season-high eight rebounds while knocking down 4 of 9 shots from behind the arc.

Cameron Williams and Natalija Marshall put up a combined 10 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks, securing the post on both ends of the court. Jasmyne Roberts scored six points and seven rebounds, while Hanna Cavinder recorded eight assists and eight rebounds.
