Dallas Cowboys player Jake Ferguson celebrated his girlfriend, Haley Cavinder's 24th birthday on Monday. The NFL star posted a selfie Cavinder took as he kissed her cheek on his Instagram story.
"MY BABY! 24 NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD," he captioned the post.
Cavinder and Ferguson's relationship first made waves in September 2023 when the Miami women's basketball star was spotted in the Cowboys' No. 87 jersey on social media. Cavinder would later reveal they both first met on social media when he sent her a DM.
Since then, the couple have been going strong and celebrated their one-year anniversary in September last year.
Haley Cavinder impresses as Miami squanders defense in loss at Syracuse
Haley Cavinder was impressive for the Miami Hurricanes who ultimately fell to a fourth consecutive defeat to Syracuse on Sunday night. Cavinder produced her sixth double-double of the season, with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
The one-half of the Cavinder twins also tallied five assists in the contest, but it was not enough as Miami finished the game with a 66-61 loss.
Haley's twin, Hanna, was not as impressive, recording only two points. But she did produce a game-high six assists, pulled down four rebounds and made three steals.
The Canes came up with a strong defensive effort, limiting the Orange to just 37.7 percent shooting from the field, including 18.8 percent from behind the arc. Miami also forced Syracuse to 19 turnovers and recorded 12 steals.
However, the Canes struggled offensively, and were trailing 17-12 at the end of the first quarter after recording seven turnovers. They continued to struggle in the second quarter, scoring just 11 points and trailed 31-23 to finish the half.
Miami improved offensively in the third quarter, scoring 15 points but the Canes were defective in the defense, allowing the Orange to shoot 56.3 percent from the field in the period. By the end of the quarter, Syracuse had outscored Miami 19-15 and was leading 50-38 entering the final quarter.
Miami increased the momentum in the final period and managed to reduce the deficit to just four points from Darrione Rogers' 3-pointer with 2:20 to go. But Syracuse's 5-6 free throws sank Miami to a 66-61 defeat.
The Hurricanes (11-5, 1-4) will now return to court to host Boston College at the Watsco Center on Thursday.
