Kim Mulkey is a player's coach and will not stay silent if she feels like her team has been wronged. Fans got a taste of it on Sunday when the No. 6 LSU Tigers beat the visiting UAlbany Great Danes 83-61.

Mulkey's team had a slow start, trailing 25-16 in the first quarter. In the second quarter, with UAlbany leading 34-27, LSU junior guard Flau'jae Johnson had a foul called on her, and Mulkey seemed displeased with it. She expressed her frustration by slamming the scorer's table, and the photo went viral on social media.

"No scorer's tables were harmed in the making of this @mjohnsonphoto photo," the tweet read.

This was not Johnson's only call for this quarter as she was called another with 30 seconds remaining on the clock.

Despite the early struggles, the LSU Tigers (15-0) bounced back and won. Aneesah Morrow led with 20 points and 18 rebounds. Flau'jae Johnson finished with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Kim Mulkey predicts a tough road ahead for the LSU Tigers

Kim Mulkey's LSU Tigers have only played one game against a ranked team, beating then-No 20 NC State 82-65 on Nov. 27, but they are set to face a slew of them in January.

Mulkey gave her predictions for the Tigers as they begin Southeastern Conference play on Thursday at the Arkansas Razorbacks (7-8). LSU's schedule has eight games against ranked opponents in SEC play. That includes a visit to the No. 2 South Carolina Gamecocks (12-1) on Jan. 23.

"We're not going to be the type of team that blows people out," Mulkey said. "Got too many new pieces. We have roles that have now changed. The longer we play together, the better we will get. We will see better teams in the SEC. I'm always going to have concerns.
"Every time you play an SEC team, it will be just a dogfight. We're fighting and if we can win enough of them, we'll be alright. We have a lot to clean up, a lot to improve on. It's going to be a challenging coaching year and a fun coaching year."

After the 2023 national championship, Kim Mulkey is looking to win another title with the Tigers this season. Flau'jae Johnson is one of the key pieces in Mulkey's game plan along with Aneesah Morrow and Mikaylah Williams.
