La La, known for her vibrant personality and support for her son Kiyan’s budding basketball career, spent time with her family during the festive period.
In a string of other videos on her Instagram stories, La La Anthony shared more moments with family watching tutorials and practicing their dance moves. The posts highlighted memorable moments of joy and togetherness shared with family.
La La Anthony reinforces the need for boundaries in co-parenting
La La Anthony has always been open about her approach to co-parenting and navigating life after her separation from NBA star Carmelo Anthony. Despite their split in 2021, the former couple remains united when it comes to raising their son, Kiyan Anthony, setting an example of maturity and teamwork.
“It’s important to us for him to be able to see his parents in the same room together and hang out and have fun,” La La shared in an interview last year.
This sentiment was evident during a significant moment for Kiyan when both parents appeared together on Carmelo’s podcast for his college commitment announcement.
Recently, La La addressed the delicate topic of staying friends with an ex during a candid discussion on Snapchat. While engaging with others off-camera, she tackled the question, “Can you still be friends with your ex?” Reflecting on the complexities, she remarked:
“I don’t know a lot of guys that’s gonna be cool with you being with your ex. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. There has to be some kind of boundaries, right? With the friendship.”
Throughout her Snapchat stories, opinions varied, with participants sharing different perspectives on maintaining ties with ex-partners.
La La suggested that some people might hold onto the past for their reasons. However, her philosophy on the matter is rooted in prioritizing her child’s well-being.
In a previous interview with E! News, La La highlighted her co-parenting strategy.
“Put the child at the center of it,” La La said. “Put your pride, your ego, your personal feelings to the side and make the child or children at the center of it.”
She also praised Carmelo for his commitment:
“I couldn’t ask for a better partner in the co-parenting space.”
To wrap up her Snapchat discussion, La La posed thought-provoking questions for her followers: “Should you or can’t you be friends with your ex? Or is there a difference if you are in a relationship or if you are single?”
