Flau'jae Johnson is preparing for her third year with the LSU Tigers. While practice sessions have begun, the guard took time to support the New Orleans Saints on Sunday as they took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Superdome.

Sharing a picture of Johnson on Instagram, the Saints captioned it:

"@flaujae in the house 🔥"

The Saints had celebrated their Week 1 victory over the Carolina Panthers by dancing to 'Came Out A Beast' by Flau’jae Johnson in the locker room. The LSU guard released the song in collaboration with Louisiana native Lil Wayne.

Flau’jae Johnson reveals her hunger for the second national championship

Flau’jae Johnson was a freshman when Angel Reese led the LSU Tigers to their first national championship in 2023. After an Elite Eight exit last season, the job of bringing back the title now falls on Johnson.

The guard is expected to take on the leadership role to help the Tigers win another championship. She expressed her strong desire during Thursday's episode of her "Best of Both Worlds" podcast.

"I ain't going to lie, we got to win," Johnson said. "I mean, I feel like we got the chance to do it. Knowing what it take to get there and knowing the pieces that you need, we got the talent we got the pieces. So it's just going to be about us putting it together, but I need a chip.
"I need another chip like not going to lie, I'm hungrier than ever. Just because I really know what it takes and I know what it looks like to go there and what you got to do. Like when you already tasted it before you kind of know the expectation, what it takes, what you need to do and I feel like we got the pieces to make it happen."

In this task, Flau’jae Johnson will be without the help of Reese, who has moved to the WNBA. The two players executed perfect plays on the court during their Elite Eight run last season. Johnson must form such synergy with players like Aneesha Morrow, who is predicted to also take a leadership role, and Mikaylah Williams.

Johnson and Morrow will be representing LSU during the SEC Media Day interviews on Oct. 16.
