Popular college hoops analyst draws comparisons between Clemson’s PJ Hall and NBA star Brandon Clarke

Clemson big man PJ Hall tested draft waters before returning to Clemson last season. However, Hall declared for the draft after finishing his remarkable four-year career as a Tiger and will "chase his dream."

NBA.com shared their pro comparison of PJ Hall before the draft. In a profile by RotoWire, Hall was described as a player who can play on both ends of the floor, but needs some improvement in his offensive game:

"Hall is an athletic big that can get the job done on both ends of the court. His offensive game has room to grow. Ultimately, his shooting ability will determine the kind of career he’ll have at the next level. He has many similarities with Brandon Clarke, but if his shot doesn’t progress, he might end up like Bismack Biyombo, but not as good of a rebounder."

In the analysis, it was also stated that PJ Hall has an impressive build, but needs to advance on the offensive end:

"Hall is comfortable finishing around the rim, but he’s not a good shooter and might have issues if forced to play near the perimeter or stretch the floor. Ultimately, his shooting touch might determine his draft stock and position at the next level because if he can’t hit shots from the perimeter, he’ll be forced to stay as an old-school big man."

Hall was a key player in Clemson's Elite Eight run in the NCAA tournament last season. The 22-year-old averaged 18.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting at 48.8% from the field. This also included shooting at 31.5% from beyond the arc.

Top 3 NBA landing spots for PJ Hall

#1 Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks are in need of a big man. Brook Lopez is the only center and at 35 years old, it's unclear how long he has left at the highest level. Furthermore, Hall would benefit from Lopez's expertise as a veteran and being with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard will put Hall at a major advantage.

#2 San Antonio Spurs

While Victor Wembanyama is the perfect center for the Spurs, there have been many instances where they have been unreliable in working with him. The San Antonio Spurs are also working on rebuilding their core, and Hall would be the perfect fit.

#3 Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have not had much luck with their draft lottery draft picks (James Wiseman). They will be looking to build around Stephen Curry again and Hall is likely to fit in well.
