Haley and Hanna Cavinder are typically active on social media, keeping track of current events going on in the United States. California is going through dangerous fires in the Los Angeles area, prompting concern from the sister twins.

According to ABC News, at least five people are believed to be dead, and the LA County sheriff expects that number to grow. Multiple wildfires have swarmed LA, with the largest being in Pacific Palisades. It has burned over 17,000 acres of land and destroyed thousands of structures. It has yet to be contained, as outgoing US President Joe Biden approved a federal major disaster declaration for the county on Wednesday.

The twins provided their response to the ongoing situation on an Instagram story, sending their prayers to Californians as well as the firefighters.

"Praying for all of California + firefighters right now during this devastating time," the Cavinder twins wrote.

According to the post that the twins reshared, LA City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson announced on Tuesday that the city had declared a state of emergency.

What's next for Cavinder twins

While the Cavinder twins and the rest of the country keep track of the tragic events in California, the former will continue their work with the Miami Hurricanes.

Miami has an 11-4 record this season but is going through a three-game losing streak during conference play. They are putting up 72.3 points on 45.9% shooting (29.5% from beyond the arc), beating teams by a margin of 7.1 points per game. However, their losing streak has them being outscored by North Carolina, Louisville, and Virginia Tech (60 PPG, 70.3 points allowed).

Haley leads the way with 17.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per contest, while Hanna averages 7.7 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.8 rebounds. Cameron Williams puts up 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds on 61.9% shooting, and Jasmyne Roberts provides 11.2 points and 4.3 rebounds on 43.2% from 3-pointers.

Looking to end their losing streak and return to the win column, the Cavinder twins and the Hurricanes prepare for their matchup against the Syracuse Orange at the JMA Wireless Dome in the state of New York on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET.
