One of many Flau'jae Johnson's offseason ventures this summer was getting re-measured for her junior year. The LSU guard shared the experience on the "Best of Both Worlds" podcast on Monday, hilariously trying to convince her mom, younger brother Aythan and her own fans.

As Johnson claimed that she touched the six-foot mark on reevaluation (with shoes on), the timing of Aythan's coughs makes for a funny back-and-forth.

"I got measured, too, so I'm officially 6-foot with shoes on," Johnson said before Kia Brooks pointed to Aythan's timely cough.
"He thinks I'm lying, bro, oh my god, I'm not lying Aythan. Everybody always think I'm lying. Aythan be quiet bro, you being messy, you need to stop being messy.
"Aythan is lying. I promise I'm 6-feet tall. Make sure they add that on the website LSU women basketball, please and thank you."

Flau'jae Johnson is listed as 5-foot-10 on LSU women's basketball's website. While Johnson’s request for change could be a general need for an update, it could also affect her overall WNBA stock.

How much will height matter in Flau'jae Johnson's WNBA entry?

Taller players generally have an advantage in basketball. Even when two teams have similar skills, the squad with more length can easily change things in their favor.

This year, the average height for a point guard/shooting guard in the WNBA is 6-foot-0.12. However, the presence of five-foot-five Olivia Epoupa and Crystal Dangerfield indicates that height is not a deal breaker. Moreover, Dangerfield, a second-round player in the 2020 draft, defied all odds to win the Rookie of the Year award.

Even if Flau'jae Johnson doesn't get listed at 6-0 feet, she would have a great chance to make it to the big league. Being categorized as a 6-0 guard could help her case, though. It could extend her expected ceiling and chances of playing at the two in the league.

Nevertheless, just like in the NBA, standard physical and athletic measurements are part of the WNBA for every incoming player. In case LSU doesn't recognize her as a 6-0 guard, Johnson will have another chance in the coming years.
