Hannah Hidalgo grabbed the headlines last week when she led the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a 79-68 victory over Paige Bueckers' UConn Huskies at Purcell Pavilion. NCAA basketball analysts Meghan McKeown and Zora Stephenson made sure to praise not only Hidalgo but the entire Notre Dame backcourt.

The two analysts presented a recap of the Fighting Irish's clash against the Huskies in Monday's episode of "Got Next with Meghan and Zora."

The pair made special mention of Sonia Citron, who played 37 minutes in the win over UConn. She recorded seven points, two assists, two steals and one block. Citron shot two of five from the field, including one of two from beyond the arc. She made both of her free-throw attempts.

"It’s the best backcourt in the country. Notre Dame’s guards – Olivia Miles, Hannah Hidalgo and Sonia Citron – are the best trio in the country," McKeown said.

Stephenson echoed McKeown's sentiments, particularly her take on Citron.

"I love how you said trio because put some respect on Sonia Citron’s name. These are two big matchups in a row, top-5 opponents in back-to-back weeks and they showed up again," Stephenson said. "Last week, it was Texas. This week, it was the Notre Dame-UConn matchup in South Bend."

Citron was superb in the game against then-No. 4 Texas, scoring 18 points and grabbing seven rebounds in Notre Dame's 80-70 win. She also displayed her defensive prowess in that clash, recording seven steals.

The Longhorns had difficulty stopping the trio of Citron, Hidalgo and Miles, who accounted for 66 of Notre Dame's 80 points.
