"Russell Wilson is like my uncle": When Kiyan Anthony shared relationship between mom La La Anthony and Steelers star's wife Ciara

Kiyan Anthony's mother La La and Russell Wilson's wife Ciara have a close relationship. And by extension, so do Kiyan and the Steelers star.

Kiyan, who plays basketball as a senior at Long Island Lutheran High School, discussed the bond between the two families during a video tour of the Anthony household by Ballislife in December 2021. (Start at 2:02)

“My mum is like best friends with Ciara and Russell Wilson is like my uncle really. He gave me his jersey and I go to his games,” Kiyan said.

Years later, La La and Ciara's friendship remains as strong as ever. In October, La La sent a special message to Ciara on her birthday.

"Screaming happy birthday to my best friend @ciara! The one who holds me down always. The one who answers the phone at 6AM whenever I need her.

"The one gave me the prayer you guys always ask for (still pending 😂😂) the one who I can laugh with til my stomach hurts everytime!! don’t know what I would do without you… Today we celebrate you and all your greatness… I love you so much!!! ❤️🍾😘🎂🥰"

Ciara is a popular musical artist who married Wilson in 2016. They have three children together.

Meanwhile, Kiyan's mother La La Anthony is an actress and TV personality who appeared in "Think Like a Man Too" among other movies. Before that, she was an MTV VJ. She got married to Carmelo Anthony in 2010 before the pair separated after she filed for divorce in 2021.

Despite the divorce, Carmelo and La La have shown their support for the 17-year-old and have been present figures throughout his basketball journey.

Ciara congratulates Kiyan Anthony after Syracuse commitment

On the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast in November, Kiyan Anthony announced his commitment to his father's college, Syracuse.

After his announcement, Ciara went on Instagram to congratulate her best friend's son on his major decision.

"Go Kiyan Anthony. So so proud of you! All your hard work is paying off! The sky is the limit Young Legend!"

Anthony, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, is the No. 1-ranked player in the state of New York and the 36th overall prospect in the Class of 2025, per ESPN.
