Savannah James, LeBron James' wife, has responded to her son Bryce James cherishing his last days of AAU. Ranked as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, Bryce, the second child of LeBron and Savannah, is looking forward to going to college soon.
In her Instagram story, Savannah James shared a clip of Bryce's friends sharing reflections regarding their fun time at AAU. The wife of LeBron James shared the reel with heart emojis.
One of the companions of Bryce James said in the clip:
"When you go to the college, it's different. You won't get this camaraderie in college. And college is a business now."
Another said:
"We can look back when we in college and like, all day."
Bryce James returned to Sierra Canyon School after briefly moving to Campbell High School in Los Angeles. LeBron James has called Bryce the best shooter in the family.
Bryce played for the Strive For Greatness AAU team at the 2024 Nike Peach Jam tournament. In five games, Bryce averaged 5.6 points and 2.5 rebounds. SFG stood third in Pool A with three wins and two losses.
Will Bryce James play alongside LeBron James and Bronny James?
Bryce James has been ranked by 247Sports as the No. 148 prospect in the country.
He didn't play as expected in the recently concluded Nike Peach Jam tournament. However, experts believe that he can do much better as soon as he comes to terms with his growing body.
A scouting report by Adam Finkelstein describes Bryce's strengths (per 247Sport)s:
"He may not be the dynamic athlete or playmaker some expect at first, but he is a fundamentally sound player with solid perimeter size and a good early skill-set.
"He possesses clear shooting potential with naturally soft touch, compact release, and the ability to make both threes and pull-ups. His left hand is advanced for his age and he also has a good early understanding of the game."
Many experts feel that Bryce is much better than his brother Bronny in terms of physicality and skill. When asked if he will play alongside his veteran father at the Lakers, Bryce said:
"I’m not gonna lie, that’s OD (too much). Waiting until I — nah, that’s too much. That’s too much, no. No, good lord. He’s going to be 42, bro."
Bryce James has received offers from USC, Ohio State Buckeyes and Duquesne. His brother, Bronny James, played at USC before being drafted by the LA Lakers this year.
