"She's so unserious","This is hilarious": Fans troll Flau'Jae Johnson for posting Paige Bueckers-JuJu Watkins photo during USC vs UConn

College basketball fans trolled LSU star Flau'Jae Johnson for posting a throwback photo with Paige Bueckers and JuJu Watkins during the marquee matchup between No. 7 USC and No. 4 UConn on Saturday at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

Basketball star-cum-rapper Johnson posted a throwback photo on X with the two superstars. The photo in question was taken at an Overtime Takeover event in August 2024.

At that time, Bueckers and Johnson were coaches of Next Up 5s while Watkins was performing broadcasting chores along with Arizona Wildcats' Jada Williams.

Social media poked fun at Johnson's chosen snap as fans either laughed at the timing of the post or at the LSU guard's mistake of not completely removing Jada Williams from the photo.

A college basketball fan commented on the post and felt that the LSU star doesn't care about the matchup between the current women's college basketball icons.

"shes so unserious," the fan wrote on X.

On3 Sports' Talia Goodman posted a comment on Johnson's photo saying:

"This is hilarious."

Another X user pointed at how Johnson cropped Arizona's Williams out of the picture.

"Damn y’all cropped out Jada Williams 😭😭😭," he commented.

"YOU DID NOT," the fan wrote.

"Lmao please," another fan added.

"girl😭😭😭😭😭," a college basketball enthusiast chimed in.

On a positive note, other fans felt that Johnson posted the photo because she was rooting for her friends to put up a great game in this important matchup.

"We rooting for both over here," a fan wrote.

The LSU star replied to the post:

Other fans say they are looking at future WNBA Hall of Famers and this year's Big Three.

"This year's Big Three. All Battles on the Court as they shouuld be," the fan said.

Paige Bueckers, JuJu Watkins deliver in big-time nonconference clash

Paige Bueckers and JuJu Watkins put up impressive numbers in the big-time nonconference showdown between UConn and USC, which USC won by two points on Saturday at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

Watkins scored a team-high 25 points, on 9-of-16 shooting (3-of-4 from 3-pointers) and made 4-of-5 shots from free throws. The 6-foot-2 guard, who also added six rebounds, five assists, one steal and three blocks, led the No. 7-ranked Trojans in securing their 11th win in 12 games in the 2024-25 women's college basketball season.

Meanwhile, Bueckers finished with 22 points, on 9-of-22 shooting, including 2-of-8 from the 3-point line to top UConn's offense. The six-foot senior also had two rebounds, two assists and one steal for the Huskies, who recovered from 18 points down only to fall short eventually.

UConn returns to action on Dec. 29 against Providence in a Big East Conference showdown at the XL Center. USC, meanwhile, takes on Michigan in a Big Ten Conference clash also on Dec. 29 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.
