Iowa's Jada Gyamfi, Hannah Stuelke and Taylor McCabe marked their seven years of playing together as they stepped into the new year with a TikTok video on Thursday. The three Hawkeyes players have been teammates since their AAU days, playing for All Iowa Attack.
In the video, Gyamfi, Stuelke and McCabe are together, smiling at the camera with the message:
"Came into 2025 with the same teammates from 2018."
The caption for the post read:
"Growing old together 👵🏽👵🏼👵🏽 @tay @Hannahhh🖤💛"
Iowa Hawkeyes senior guard, Kylie Feuerbach reacted to the video in the comments, as she wrote:
"Imagining you guys as the grandma emojis is so funny and also so cute."
All three players joined the Hawkeyes from the 2022-23 season and played minor roles in Iowa's run to the back-to-back Final Four. However, Hannah Stuelke stepped up last season and wrecked chaos on the court alongside Caitlin Clark, averaging 14.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
As a junior, Stuelke is averaging 13.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists. Meanwhile, Taylor McCabe is just finding her footing after the increased minutes this season. She averages 7.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
Jada Gyamfi is yet to make her mark on the team. In the 14 games the Hawkeyes have played this season, Gyamfi saw action in six, averaging 4.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists.
Jada Gyamfi looks back at Iowa's historic run last season
The 2023-24 season marked a huge shift for the Iowa Hawkeyes. After finishing runner-up in the previous season, Caitlin Clark-led Iowa was hoping to finally win an NCAA title, but they once again fell short and lost the championship game to Dawn Staley's South Carolina.
However, the run was historic, as the Hawkeyes broke sales and viewership record with every game they played. Jada Gyamfi posted a collage of the year gone by to her Instagram on Wednesday.
"Made it through another year🩶," she wrote in the caption.
With the end of the season, Iowa saw big changes as Clark, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall, the iconic senior trio, graduated from the team. Lisa Bluder also retired, giving way to Jan Jensen to take over.
The Hawkeyes started the season unranked but now occupy No. 23. They are on a 12-2 run and placed sixth in the Big Ten Conference. Iowa's next game is against the Maryland Terrapins on Sunday.
