LSU coach Kim Mulkey calls Aneesah Morrow a "double-double machine"
Following the No. 5 LSU Tigers' 91–64 win over Seton Hall on Tuesday in the Basketball HOF Women's Showcase, coach Kim Mulkey praised her fourth-year senior guard, Aneesah Morrow.
"Morrow is a double-double machine. She just is," Mulkey said, via Matthew Brune's video on X (0:48). "She's an undersized post player. As you saw, she can shoot the 3-ball. You don't have to have her shoot the 3-ball."
"She can defend down there, because she's going to pull the chair out from under you. She's going to get past in lane and steal the ball. And just really an honor to coach that kid."
Morrow finished the game against the Pirates with 24 points, 19 rebounds, two assists and three blocks. It was her second-best scoring performance and just one rebound short of her season-high, 20.
She registered another double-double in the game against UIC following Seton Hall, grabbing 13 rebounds. This performance solidified her position as the nation's rebounding leader this season with 183 rebounds (14.0 per game), far ahead of Wisconsin's Serah Williams, who has 135 total rebounds.
Moreover, Morrow is also one of the Tigers' leading scorers, ranking second behind Flau'Jae Johnson with 18.3 ppg.
