South Carolina coach Dawn Staley hyped up a massive game against No. 13 Oklahoma on X, formerly known as Twitter. The No. 2 Gamecocks and Sooners are set to square off at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia during the "We Back Pat" event on Sunday.
"iT’S GAME DAY!!!" the coach tweeted on Sunday morning.
Before every game, Dawn Staley posts a similar tweet to get the Gamecock fans excited for the matchups.
Apart from the tweet, she shares a "Gameday Devotional" on social media after the pregame meal and shootaround, which includes a Bible verse and a motivational quote from a high-profile figure.

Dawn Staley calls the Oklahoma game the Gamecocks' "biggest challenge" this season
Dawn Staley and South Carolina face a huge test on Sunday against Oklahoma (15-3, 3-2 SEC)—their third consecutive ranked opponent in conference play. The Gamecocks (17-1, 5-0 SEC) will host the Sooners at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN/ESPN2.
During the pregame media availability on Friday, Staley discussed the challenges Jennie Baranczyk's team presents, especially in the low post.
"Next game up is Oklahoma, and we certainly have to be better. I’m glad that we’re playing at home," the national championship-winning coach said.
"This is probably our biggest challenge, and I say that because of their style of play. I say that they’re relentless. I say that they go end-to-end very quickly, get quick shots up, and that’s hard.
"They all can score the basketball, and they got a point guard that facilitates and runs their team. It’s got a high IQ. When you have the head of the snakes with teams like that, they’re just hard to beat with all the talent that they have."
The Gamecocks head into the matchup on a 12-game winning streak, having already defeated top teams such as Duke, TCU and Iowa State during the stretch, including No. 7 Texas and No. 19 Alabama in the final two games. Dawn Staley's squad's only loss came against No. 1 UCLA in November at Pauley Pavilion.
Meanwhile, the Sooners are coming off an 80-63 victory over Missouri. They have already lost to Texas and unranked Mississippi State in conference play.
It is a must-win game for the Gamecocks to stay atop the SEC standings and carry positive momentum into their next matchup against the No. 5 undefeated LSU Tigers. The Kim Mulkey-led Tigers currently sit second in the SEC standings, with a game in hand over South Carolina.
