South Carolina HC Dawn Staley raves about "action packed" and "hella funny" reunion of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence movie

Dawn Staley is not only a talented leader and basketball star but she is also a cinephile. The former WNBA star often shares movie recommendations on her social media platforms, encouraging her fans to watch the movies she falls in love with.

This time it was the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence starrer "Bad Boys: Ride or Die."

Dawn Staley wrote the movie's review and thanked Sony for letting her watch it from the comfort of her home.

"It was action packed from start to finish & hella funny. Gr8 to see most of the main characters together again-Philly’s own Will Smith & the every1 @realmartmar Yall know the movie I’m talking about #BadBoys Ride or die. Thx for letting me and the crew watch from home."

Dawn Staley gets honored by Togethxr with a special cardigan

The South Carolina Gamecocks HC won her third national championship title in last year's NCAAW tournament. Her team also remained undefeated in the previous season, thus, cementing herself as a prolific coach. Therefore, Togethxer released a custom cardigan to honor the former WNBA star.

The cardigan was designed in partnership with Aflac, fashion designer Alex Taylor, and embroidery artist Shakira Javonni.

It is a white cardigan, sewn with several logos like one for her dog Champ, her jersey number, an NCAA Championship trophy, a hoop, and an Olympic medal. At the back of the cardigan is sewn "Everyone Watches Women's Sports" in black font.

Staley was happy to get the tribute and quoted lyrics from Mary J. Blige's song, 'My Life.'

The cardigan was not the only honor that she received. Staley was also the recipient of the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance for her support and fight for quality in women's sport and also for her contribution to fighting against cancer.

"I must confess I feel a little undeserving of this recognition. Past recipients of the Jimmy V Perseverance Award have faced incredible challenges and proven themselves as true warriors," Staley said, as per ESPN. "I have merely been a spectator to such immense courage and resilience."

Dawn Staley will prepare to train the Gamecocks squad in the hopes of winning another national championship title this coming season.
