South Carolina coach Dawn Staley is having the time of her life at the 2024 Paris Olympics and she recently ran into NFL legend Tom Brady.
Staley has been on a superstar run after winning the 2023 NCAAW championship title. While she is still relishing in the glory of her victory, the three-time national championship-winning coach bumped into Brady in Paris.
She shared a carousel of images from her meeting with the $300 million worth (as per Celebrity Net Worth) former NFL QB. The coach was taken aback by his charming looks and hence wrote an interesting message for her fans to read:
"Yall I can not lie to you….don’t you ever ever look directly into @TomBrady eyes……this man is seriously beautiful. And I shook his hand….the Super Bowlssss hand. And the hand was just as gorgeous. Ok I’m done but for real."
The 10-time MVP touched down in Paris to watch Carlos Alcaraz and his friend Novak Djokovic's epic Olympic gold medal showdown.
Dawn Staley expressed her discontentment over the slow progress of women's basketball
Staley has been a loud voice advocating for the advancement of women's sports at the college and pro level. She was listed in the Forbes' 50 over 50 list on August 1 and talked at a summit with Maggie McGrath.
When asked about how much money has the industry lost by not investing in women's sports, she answered:
"Well, I think that's been my frustration, as the years have gone by where we don't capitalize," Dawn Staley told McGrath. "I don't understand why people think we can't be a billion-dollar industry. We can be and people are seeing it now. We're very popular. It's probably not too late, but a little late if you're really trying to get a return on your investment."
The South Carolina coach has spoken out and also received criticism for her views on various topics. She has especially been vocal about her views on Caitlin Clark's snub from the Olympics and has also credited the WNBA rookie for her work in the college basketball scene.
