Hailey Van Lith and the No. 9 TCU Horned Frogs suffered their first loss of the season against No. 3 South Carolina on Sunday. While the final score of 85-52 gave the Gamecocks the decisive victory, one moment in the game had college basketball fans buzzing on social media.
Earlier in the fourth quarter when the score was already heavily lopsided in South Carolina's favor, a vicious crossover by the Gamecocks' Te-Hina Paopao had Van Lith stumbling slightly and going the wrong way, though she managed to stay on her feet.
South Carolina's Twitter account shared the clip, and fans flooded it with their reactions.
"Took her knees like sh*t," one fan wrote.
"Nasty work," a fan commented.
"Where you going HVL???? Game still going on shorty 🥴🥴🥴🥴🤔🤣🤣," another fan teased Van Lith.
Here are a few more reactions on X:
"HVL been at the other end of SC clips two years in a row," one user added.
"Give HVL a map😭😭😭," another joked.
"Had that girl on skates 😩😩😩," one more said.
