The r*pe court case of the State of Kansas vs. Terrence Shannon Jr. has been going on throughout the week and things are getting very interesting. The case has reached the point of having witnesses on the stands and one of the people who are reportedly part of this court case is another star basketball player, Hunter Dickinson, according to insider Mitch Gilfillan.
While being a witness on the stand under oath, he reportedly said how he was at the Martini Room the same night that Terrence Shannon Jr. was there and while he was drinking, Shannon Jr. seemed to have control of himself. Dickinson allegedly said he did not see anything happen the night of the incident in question.
The case is still ongoing as of this writing, and Dickinson is reportedly not the only college basketball player in this trial, as former teammate Kevin McCullar Jr. testified via Zoom.
What caused the State of Kansas vs. Terrence Shannon Jr. court case?
The State of Kansas vs. Terrence Shannon Jr. is based on the college basketball star being accused of r*ping an 18-year-old girl in September 2023. The alleged incident occurred shortly after midnight on Sept. 9 in the Martini Room at the Jayhawk Cafe.
The woman reportedly told police that she was r*ped and the incident took no more than 30 seconds. She allegedly said that she was not restrained but was just shocked and unable to pull away from him due to how the place was tightly packed. She also reportedly said she did not confront Shannon after the fact and instead left with her friend.
The way she allegedly recognized it was Terrence Shannon Jr. was through Google searches after the fact. The woman called the Lawrence Police Department at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 to report the incident.
While the case is ongoing, 12 jurors will decide the fate of the case.
