TCU's Sedona Prince shoots 2-word compliment for teammate Madison Conner's 33-point game vs. Samford

No. 12 TCU routed Samford 103-64 inside its Schollmaier Arena on Tuesday night. Senior guard Madison Conner shined, totaling 33 points, six rebounds and four assists to help the Horned Frogs improve to 11-1.

On Instagram after the game, TCU center Sedona Prince celebrated her teammate's outstanding performance. She shared a photo of Madison alongside her steller stats with the caption:

Prince was ruled out of the game due to an illness. However, Georgia State transfer Deasia Merrill stepped up and finished with a season-high 13 points and seven rebounds in her first start for the Horned Frogs.

Madison Conner leads TCU to 103-64 rout of Samford

Madison Conner treated fans to a stellar performance, scoring 33 points behind an 8-for-16 clip to lead TCU to a comfortable 103-64 win. Conner shot 7 of 11 behind the arc in the first half, finishing with 23 points. She had 11 points in the first quarter, knocking down a trio of triples. In the second quarter, she nailed three back-to-back 3-pointers to widen TCU's lead to 54-31.

The Horned Frogs, who started the game with a 10-3 lead, finished with a 48-24 advantage on the glass and 40 points in the paint. TCU also produced an assist-to-turnover ratio of at least 4-1 for the fourth time in 2024-25.

The win now takes the Horned Frogs' home nonconference winning streak to 22 games, notching 12 straight home victories in December. Five players scored in double figures: Conner, Hailey Van Lith (15 points and eight assists), Donovyn Hunter (14 points), Deasia Merrill (13 points) and Aaliyah Roberson (10 points).

As for Conner, she is now TCU's all-time leader in 30-point games, overtaking Lauren Heard (four) after 39 games. She also ranks first nationally in 3-pointers (48) and 3-pointers per game (4.0). Her 23 points over the opening 20 minutes were her most ever in a half.
