The No. 5 Duke Blue Devils cruised to an 82-56 victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday, improving to 2-0 in ACC play. The players combined for 46 points which nearly outscored the entire Georgia Tech team.

While Duke's on-court performance was impressive, fans were equally intrigued by the team's lighter moments off the court. The players recently shared the most memorable Christmas gifts they got. A compilation of answers was posted on the team's Instagram page.

While most of them recounted receiving a PlayStation, Cooper Flagg on the other hand, shared a story about a mini dirt bike he once received:

“My older brother broke it because he was too big and sat on it and broke the tire. That was sad, but it was fun while it lasted.”

Flagg, who celebrated his 18th birthday five days ago, opened the matchup against Georgia Tech with a strong performance, scoring nine of his 13 points in the first half. By the game's final minutes, Duke had established a big lead, allowing Flagg and other starters to rest while the bench closed out the game.

Cooper Flagg continues to grow as a rising star

Flagg is quickly becoming one of the most exciting players in college basketball. His 2023-24 season averages of 16.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.5 steals per game have solidified his role as Duke’s leader on the court. Flagg leads the team in nearly every statistical category and has helped Duke rise to No. 4 in the AP rankings.

Despite currently stands at .421 from the field, .250 from 3-point range and .746 from the free-throw line. Before even stepping onto Duke’s campus, Flagg was widely regarded as the consensus No. 1 pick for the 2025 NBA draft. He’s been compared to elite talents like Victor Wembanyama and Zion Williamson.

Duke’s win over Georgia Tech marked its second convincing victory in one week, following a 21-point triumph against George Mason. These performances are likely to maintain their top-five ranking in the AP Poll. The Blue Devils now enjoy a 10-day break before resuming ACC competition.
