In an Instagram post from March Madness on Friday, Green wore a T-shirt featuring Watkins’ image, an unexpected gesture that highlighted her growing impact on the basketball world.
Watkins, the sophomore guard of the USC Trojans, has been making waves in women’s college basketball. The gesture did not go unnoticed by hoops fans as they reacted to Green's attire of choice.

Watkins is averaging 24.8 points, on 45.8% shooting, 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists. Watkins’ performance has led the No. 4-ranked USC Trojans to a 14-game winning streak, including their 79-37 victory over Purdue on Wednesday.
