On the court, the Cavinder twins are known for their relentless work ethic and competitive spirit, which has contributed to the Hurricanes 11-1 record.

Haley and Hanna have been able to balance athletic excellence and social media stardom. While their presence on TikTok showcases their charisma, it also underscores their ability to transcend the basketball court.

When the Cavinder twins learned how to adapt to the NIL era

The Cavinder twins have become synonymous with success in the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) space.

Their rise as pioneers in college basketball has redefined how student-athletes can leverage their personal brands, amassing millions of followers and securing high-profile partnerships. When NIL regulations were first introduced, the Cavinder twins, like many athletes, were unsure of what to expect.

“When NIL first passed, we didn’t really understand it as much,” Hanna said, adding, “Kind of like everybody else, it was kind of like the Wild Wild West."
"But then we created an amazing team around us with our attorney Darren Heitner and our agency, ESM,” she added.

Since then, the twins have thrived, turning their social media presence into a formidable force to leverage. Haley and Hanna boasts a following of 4.5 million followers on TikTok.

This prominence has placed them among the most influential figures in college athletics, with Haley ranked No. 37 in NIL valuation (No. 3 in women’s college basketball) and Hanna at No. 42 (No. 4 in women’s college basketball).

Their influence extends far beyond the court. The Cavinders credit their robust social media following as a cornerstone of their NIL success.

“Social media is such a powerful tool for businesses nowadays,” Haley explained, adding, “You can see how much it’s grown with student-athletes since NIL passed.
"When I realized we could do this as a dream job, it was a game-changer,” she added.

The twins emphasized the importance of teamwork, both on and off the court. By surrounding themselves with a strong support system, including family and professional advisors, they’ve built a sustainable model for long-term success.

“Networking and connecting as much as you can is crucial,” Haley said, adding, “The right team and proactive management make it all possible.”

Their journey highlights the potential of NIL to transform college sports, offering athletes opportunities to build their brands and shape their futures.

For the Cavinder twins, NIL isn’t just a platform; it’s a legacy that inspires student-athletes everywhere to dream big and make it happen.
