The futures of Cameron and Cayden Boozer are a topic of high interest to colleges across the country. Earlier today, 247Sports Analyst Travis Branham, who is also on the Boys Selection Committee for the High School Naismith Awards, revealed the Boozer twins will make an announcement on their college decision on October 11.
Branham's revelation sparked a major debate on social media, with fans taking turns to guess where the talented twins could end up. In a poll launched by Bleacher Report Hoops on Instagram, over 70% chose the Duke Blue Devils, with the rest choosing the Miami Hurricanes.
Both ACC programs have emerged as the frontrunners to get their commitments. Fans supporting the Blue Devils in the poll were quite vocal, believing they are favorites to seal the deal.
"They going to duke we all know this," said one fan.
"Cooper Reclassified opened the doors. Duke is the only answer," said another.
Another fan added, "2 generations of Boozers at Duke is fire can’t lie."
While a majority of fans believed they would land in Duke, few fans believed the Boozer twins could surprise the nation by heading to the U.
"They both going to the U," said one fan.
"Miami, been saying this since the dropped it in they list," said another.
Another fan added, "They’ll both have the opportunity to play 30+ minutes a game at Miami. Very easy decision in my opinion."
Why Cameron and Cayden Boozer could head to Duke
Cameron is the second-ranked overall prospect in the nation, while Cayden Boozer ranks 21st in the Class of 2025. In the last two years, top colleges have been making offers to the talented twins, while they have been making official visits.
However, Duke may have the edge over the competition as the Boozer twins' father, 2-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer is one of the program's notable alumni. He was part of the 2001 Blue Devils team which won the national championship, before the Cleveland Cavaliers made him the 35th overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft.
Nothing is certain until the twins make their decision though, which is expected to happen in a matter of hours.
