Gabbie Marshall has amassed a massive fan following during her college basketball career with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Although her time with the Hawkeyes is well and truly in the past, her fans have stuck by her, which is clearly visible on social media.
Marshall, who has over 280,000 followers on Instagram, shared a post on the social media platform earlier today to celebrate the two-year anniversary of her relationship with her boyfriend, Spencer Touro.
Her post featured some of their favorite memories, from selfies in a car with their dog to romantic moments on the beach. Fans were quick to shower love on the happy couple, taking to Instagram to express their opinions. Some of them shared kind comments on Marshall's post, admiring the love they shared for each other.
"This is what LOVE looks like," said one fan.
"Gabby He's cute!!!!😂 You better wrap him up tight for Christmas, beautiful couple," said another.
Another fan added, "Happy Anniversary Gabbie! You look so happy!"
Some of her former teammates, including Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin, also took to Instagram to celebrate her big day, posting kind comments on her post.
"So cute," wrote Clark.
"My favs," wrote Martin.
Jada Gyamfi wrote, "Can’t wait to move in with you guys!"
Since Marshall and Touro made their relationship official last year, the former has not shied away from sharing her favorite moments on social media with her boyfriend. Last year, the former Hawkeyes guard shared a special post thanking Touro for making her "the happiest girl in the world" to celebrate their first anniversary.
Where is Gabbie Marshall now?
Alongside Clark and Martin, Gabbie Marshall was part of one of the most feared backcourt trios in college basketball at Iowa. She played a key part in the Hawkeyes' run to the NCAA Tournament final in 2023 and 2024, although her averages of 6.6 points and 1.5 rebounds overall in her career may not do enough justice to that.
While Clark and Martin declared for the WNBA draft, Marshall decided to call time on her basketball career. She is pursuing her Master's in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Although she has left college basketball behind, she still makes time to surprise her friends and attend a few Hawkeyes games whenever possible.
