As Dan Hurley helps the 11th-ranked UConn Huskies chase the first college basketball three-peat of the 21st century, his wife, Andrea Hurley, has found her calling. The New Jersey native has been involved with the Connecticut Children’s Foundation to spread awareness of the nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday, she reflected on the fulfillment she discovered through her work with the pediatric hematology-oncology department. She thanked the involved doctors, nurses, patients and board members while sharing that she helped raise over $2.6 million for the cause via a screenshot.
Fans stormed the comment section to pour their support and admiration for Andrea Hurley's dedication.

Dan Hurley's Huskies also joined Andrea Hurley
Dan Hurley and the cast of UConn Huskies joined Andrea Hurley in her mission with the Connecticut Children's Medical Center's Connecticut Children’s Foundation earlier this month.
Ahmad Nowell, Hassan Diarra, Jaylin Stewart, Solo Ball and other players interacted with and even danced with the patients and staff members.
The Huskies also have a longstanding tradition of lighting up CCMC to support the Connecticut Children's Foundation each year. The previous visit by UConn players came in January.
The University of Connecticut also organizes an annual HuskyTHON event to raise funds for the children's foundation. The event organized in March 2023 saw nearly 4,000 students dance for 18 hours straight (6 a.m. to midnight) in the Hugh S. Greer Field House, raising more than $1.4 million for the cause.
