"This is ridiculous": Iowa teammate Jada Gyamfi reacts to viral Caitlin Clark-Taylor Swift news

Caitlin Clark is a big Taylor Swift fan. After years of expressing her love for the singer and even attending the Eras Tour, Clark made it a bit closer to Swift.

On Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs played against the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. Taylor Swift was present to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and Caitlin Clark was spotted sitting with her in her suite, chatting with the singer.

Clark's former Iowa teammate, Jada Gyamfi, who is also a Swiftie, reacted to the viral video of the two via her Instagram story, writing:

"This is ridiculous!!!"

Apart from being a fan of Swift, Caitlin Clark is a long-time Chiefs fan. During her appearance on Jason and Travis Kelce's podcast, "New Heights," the Indiana Fever guard said:

"I had family in Kansas City, and I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, which is only three hours from Kansas City. That's just the closest NFL team. My brother loved Tony Gonzalez. We would, like, go to one game a year growing up because my cousin was down in Kansas City."

In June, when Taylor Swift was playing at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, former Iowa teammates Caitlin Clark, Jada Gyamfi, Kate Martin and Monika Czinano attended the show together.

Later in November, when the Eras Tour came to the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, Clark was there again, this time with her family.

"I went early on when Taylor first went on tour in Minnesota at U.S. Bank. One of her early concerts and that was a lot of fun,” Clark said on the New Heights show. “I went with some of my college friends and we had a good time together."

"My mom was, like, begging me to take her. She was like, 'I gotta go. Everybody’s talking about it.' I’m like, 'OK, OK.' I turned my mom into a full Swiftie now. Two of my cousins were there too. Good time, good time.”

Caitlin Clark was named Time Athlete of the Year in December and in her interview, she spoke about her love for Taylor.

“People are just going crazy that I’m there,” Clark said. “I thought people would be so in their own world, ready to see Taylor. And it was just completely the opposite.”

She also revealed that Taylor Swift gave her four bags of merchandise and a special note expressing her admiration for the Indiana guard.
