Women's college basketball reached new levels last season under big players like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Now that they have transitioned to the WNBA, someone needs to step forward and take the torch.

UConn's Paige Bueckers is among the players who can take on this responsibility in the 2024-25 season. UConn also posted a video on their Instagram handle to cheer on Paige Bueckers for the upcoming season.

"Came back better than ever. Stronger than ever. More resilient than ever. and we have a feeling the best is yet to come for Paige," they wrote in the caption.

Paige Bueckers started her collegiate career in 2020 at UConn. However, she had to face an ACL injury two seasons later, leading her to not playing in the 2022-23 season. After the injury, she made a strong comeback, with UConn fans believing that 2024-25 is going to be her season.

"This year is gonna be paiges year," a fan said.
"She'll forever be the people's person AND the people's player," said another fan.

Paige Bueckers will see herself in a different role next season at UConn and she is ready for it. Realizing that she'd have to lead the roster, she said:

"It's crazy. Because I feel like I don't have Nika, I don't have Aaliyah. So, it's really all on me. And it's mostly my responsibility. Obviously Aubrey, Azzi, and other upperclassmen but I'm the only one on the court right now. So, I'm taking the responsibility and I'm doing it with pride."

Paige has the best chance to stand out at college basketball next season and increase her draft stocks for the 2025 WNBA Draft.
