Dan Hurley and UConn are aiming for a three-peat this season after winning back-to-back national championship titles. However, Hurley is also looking ahead to the 2025-26 season with the commitment of four-star center Eric Reibe.

Reibe, a 7-foot big from Bullis School in Maryland, is ranked No. 24 in ESPN's Class of 2025. He pledged to join the Huskies in October 2024 and made it official by signing his national letter of intent in November.

"There's a seriousness about him that we love. He can't wait to get here and put the work in. I think he's going to be a cheat code on offense," Hurley said of the incoming big man (via CT Insider).
"I loved it, I love that. We need people like that. I think this year’s team has too many nice guys. I think I may need to bring in an a-hole or two. That’s always good for a team. And he’s got some of that arrogance about him."

Reibe, a native of Germany, has been playing basketball since he was 8 years old. He honed his skills in Europe before moving to the United States to attend Bullis School.

Reibe visited Kansas, Oregon, Indiana and Creighton before deciding on Dan Hurley's UConn. On Oct. 16, he announced his decision during a live press conference on 247Sports.

"I’m happy to be a f***ng Husky," he said to close out the announcement.

Other key players committed to Dan Hurley’s 2025 team

Dan Hurley and his staff at UConn have assembled an impressive 2025 recruiting class, positioning the Huskies to remain a dominant force in college basketball.

The additions of four-star guards Darius Adams and Braylon Mullins, along with highly touted Australian wing Jacob Furphy, have Huskies fans eagerly anticipating the program’s future under Hurley’s leadership.

"It’s an awesome class," Hurley said. "I mean, we just lost so much high-end talent (with seven guys going to the NBA over two years)."
"With Braylon and Darius and big Eric and 'Tassie,' we’re really going to be able to replenish a lot of that high-end, early-entry talent that we lost in the last couple of years."

Adams, a 6-foot-5 prospect from La Lumiere School in Indiana, is ranked No. 23 overall in ESPN’s Class of 2025. Mullins, a 6-4 guard from Greenfield-Central in Indiana, is ranked No. 25. Furphy, a 6-5 forward from Tasmania, Australia, is a product of the NBA Global Academy.
