Caitlin Clark was named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year on Friday. It was a near-unanimous selection as she received 66 of the 67 votes. The Iowa Hawkeyes alum has enjoyed a historic season since she moved into the league.

Celebrating her win, Clark reposted a video showing her transition from college to the Indiana Fever.

"Time flies 🤯," she wrote with the video.

Caitlin Clark led the Indiana Fever to its first playoff appearance since 2016. She averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest. Clark led her rookie class in all categories except rebounding.

The guard set the WNBA record for single-season assists (337) and single-game with 19 assists. Clark is also the highest-scoring rookie in WNBA history (769 points) and is the first WNBA rookie to record a triple-double.

With her first year all wrapped up, Caitlin Clark is already looking forward to the next season.

"The fun part is I feel like I'm just scratching the surface," Clark said (via ABC News). "I know I want to help this franchise get even better, help my teammates get even better, be better for my teammates. I know there's a lot of room for me to continue to improve, so that's what excites me the most."

USC senior Kiki Iriafen names Caitlin Clark led rookie class as her inspiration

USC Trojans guard Kiki Iriafen is preparing for her final college season. The Stanford transfer won the 2021 NCAA championship in her freshman season and has since led the Cardinal to a Pac-12 regular season title and a Sweet 16 run in March Madness.

With a potential move to the WNBA next year, Iriafen credited Caitlin Clark and the 2024 rookie class for paving the way for her. In an interview with CBS, Iriafen said:

"I think the rookies of this past class have done an amazing job, on and off the court. On the court, they didn't try to do too much. They just stayed within themselves and they were able to see so much success."
"Definitely kind of having them set the stage a little bit for me and I can see all the opportunities that I can have in the next year. I feel so blessed to be a woman in sports at this time. I feel like all the women before me who have fought for this and paved the way, and I get to reap the benefits right now."

While Caitlin Clark is enjoying her offseason, Iriafen and the Trojans will battle it out in Clark's former home, the Big Ten Conference, for a chance at the NCAA title.
