Haley Cavinder has made waves and made her presence felt in her return to college basketball with the Miami Hurricanes this season. She is often celebrated as one-half of the social media-famous Cavinder Twins. She drove her fans crazy against Virginia Tech on Sunday when she joined the 1,000-rebound club.
The moment that cemented her place among college basketball's elites came in the first quarter when she snatched a defensive rebound off a missed 3-pointer. Despite her performance, the Hurricanes lost 68-64.
Miami celebrated her feat by posting a heartfelt video on Instagram.
"Stacking milestones," Miami wrote in the caption.
Brandi Cavinder Perkins, Haley's sister, joined in, cheering her on by commenting on the post.
"Tiny & mighty!" Brandi commented.
Haley's journey to 1,000 rebounds speaks volumes about her hard work and consistency.
During her time at Fresno State, before transferring to Miami, she racked up 718 rebounds. As a key player for the Hurricanes, she has added 286 to her tally. She is averaging 17.9 points and 4.8 assists per game in 15 games this season.
Cavinder put in an impressive performance with 12 points, six rebounds and six assists against Virginia Tech.
While her leadership and quality are undeniable, Miami (11-4, 1-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) has lost three consecutive games. The Hurricanes will visit Syracuse on Sunday.

The final picture revealed her heartwarming side as it showcased Haley interacting with a fan.
