Canadian forward Toby Fournier committed to the Duke Blue Devils on May 17, 2023. The Class of 2024 prodigy was among the four players who committed to coach Kara Lawson's team, including Louann Battiston, Jenessa Cotton and Arianna Roberson.
She penned an emotional message in her commitment post on Instagram, thanking her family, coaches and school on May 17, 2023:
"Thank you to Crestwood Prep for supporting me and helping me balance school as a student-athlete. Thank you to Coach Ro for getting me started at Crestwood and believing in me early on," she thanked her school in the caption.
She represented the World Select team in the Nike Hoop Summit and scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds. She was ranked 10th in the ESPNW 2024 Class and was selected for the 2024 Jordan Brand All-American team.
Fournier is a two-time Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association Champion (2023 and 2024). Furthermore, she was also awarded OSBA Pool A Regular Season and Tournament MVP twice as well as the OSBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 and 2024.
The Toronto, OT native was selected in the OSBA First Team All-Star thrice, in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Fournier also led Canada to a fourth-place finish in the 2022 FIBA Under-17 Women's Basketball World Cup in Hungary, averaging 13.3 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game.
The 6-foot-2 forward is a bronze medal winner with her country in the 2023 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup in Spain. There, she averaged a double-double with 16.1 PPG, a tournament-high 13.7 RPG and 2.1 BPG.
The 6-2 Canadian is averaging 12.4 points on 56.3% shooting, including 50% from beyond the arc, 4.6 rebounds and 0.1 assists in 11 matches so far. For her school, Fournier competed in other sports too, including the long jump, ballet, soccer and gymnastics. However, she turned her focus to basketball when she turned 12.

Toby Fournier has continued to display some tremendous performances for Duke as a freshman. She won the Rookie of the Week award on Nov. 26.
She scored a career-high 27 points on an impressive 70.6% shooting against Virginia Tech on Dec. 12 and combined that with nine rebounds and one block.
Furthermore, the prodigy has scored in double-digits in four of her last five games for Duke. She will now look to continue her form against the Wofford Terriers on Dec. 19.
