South Bend Washington High School’s Kira Reynolds achieved a feat that has set a new benchmark in Indiana basketball history. In a commanding 85-12 victory over New Prairie on Saturday, she delivered a quintuple-double, recording a staggering stat line of 14 points, 18 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals and 10 blocks.

Reynolds’ record-breaking performance has garnered significant attention from the basketball community and beyond. SportsCenter NEXT celebrated her historic game with an X/Twitter post that read:

"Purdue signee and Indiana Miss Basketball candidate Kira Reynolds posted insane numbers over the weekend, leading South Bend Washington (IN) to their 15th win of the season!"

The accomplishment made Reynolds the first-ever player in Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) history to achieve such an extraordinary stat line. This milestone further cements Reynolds’ status as a top contender for the Indiana Miss Basketball award.

Kira Reynolds' family is deeply rooted in Basketball

Kira joined her older sisters, Mila and Amiyah, at Purdue University last season. Their father, Steve Reynolds, is the head coach of the South Bend Washington girls’ basketball team and a former player at Western Michigan. Both of Kira’s parents also played professional basketball overseas.

The basketball talent in the family extends to Kira’s younger brother, Steven Reynolds III as well. He is ranked No. 74 nationally in the class of 2026 by 247Sports, and recently made waves in December with a career-high 50-point game, proving that basketball excellence is a hallmark of the Reynolds household.

Kira Reynolds’ contributions have been pivotal in South Bend Washington’s success this season. The team currently boasts a 15-1 record and is riding a 10-game winning streak. Reynolds averages 16.6 points, 13.5 rebounds, 6.5 blocks, 6.3 assists and 3.5 steals per game.

Her versatility was further emphasized by another significant career milestone. Reynolds became the first player in IHSAA history to achieve 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 500 blocks and 300 assists.
