Twin Hanna drops 1-word reaction to Haley Cavinder’s game-winning double-double

Haley Cavinder had an impressive game for the Miami Hurricanes against Pittsburgh on Saturday, and her sister Hanna was quick to praise her on Instagram. Hanna jumped in the comments on the Hurricanes' post about Haley's performance with one word:

Haley Cavinder recorded a 22-point, 11-rebound double-double to lead the Hurricanes to a 62-56 road win and a 9-1 record.

Haley Cavinder leads Miami Hurricanes to victory on the road over Pittsburgh

Haley Cavinder and the Miami Hurricanes will be heading to the Maui Classic after defeating Pittsburgh on Sunday. In addition to Haley's double-double, she also recorded five assists and one steal.

Jasmyne Roberts also contributed 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range, while recording a career-high five steals and collecting three rebounds. Haley's twin sister, Hanna Cavinder, finished with eight points, five rebounds and a game-high six assists.

Together, the Cavinder twins combined for 30 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists.

Defensively, the Hurricanes held Pittsburgh to 34.5% shooting from the field and just 27.3% from 3-point range. Miami shot 40.7% overall, 34.8% from beyond the arc, and 75.0% from the free throw line, tallying 16 assists on 24 made shots.

Miami raced to a 15-6 lead by the end of the first quarter, holding Pittsburgh to 2-of-15 shooting during the period. The Hurricanes extended their advantage to 10 points by halftime, leading 32-22.

After the break, Miami faced some challenges, allowing Pittsburgh to cut the deficit to just four points heading into the final quarter. However, the Hurricanes regrouped and took control in the closing minutes, securing the road victory to open conference play.

The Hurricanes will finish non-conference play in Hawaii at the Maui Classic, facing Nevada on Thursday and Oregon State on Friday. The Cavinder twins and Miami will then return home on Dec. 29 to take on No. 14 North Carolina.
