"To think about their sacrifice and the way they sacrifice to keep us safe is greatly appreciated," she added.
On the other hand, LSU star Flau'Jae Johnson also took to Twitter to express her fear regarding the situation.
"Praying for LA rn this is so scary !🙏," wrote Johnson.
Kiki Rice shines amid challenges as Bruins return to Los Angeles
As the UCLA Bruins return to Los Angeles, all eyes are set on their basketball triumphs along with the wildfire devastation. Junior guard Kiki Rice has been a beacon of hope for UCLA on the court. In the 2024-25 season, the former National Player of the Year is averaging 13.0 points per game.
She also averages 3.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while shooting 57.4% from the field. She has been a key reason behind the Bruins' perfect 16-0 start to the season and their No. 1 ranking.
Rice also led the team in the 86-70 victory over No. 24 Michigan, where she scored 16 points and a season-high 10 assists. It was the Bay Area Classic against Creighton where Rice helped the Bruins dominate even without her star teammate Lauren Betts.
She will remain the symbol of hope when UCLA hosts the Northwestern Wildcats next on Sunday.
