After going down 10-9 at the 6:05 mark of the opening quarter, UCLA picked up its momentum, closing the quarter with an 11-2 run to take a 20-12 lead into the second quarter. The Bruins continued to pour it on the Skyhawks, outscoring UT Martin 24-8 in the second quarter, extending their lead to 44-20 entering halftime. Lauren Betts led the charge for the Bruins with 13 first-half points.
UCLA opened the second half with a 14-0 run before UT Martin mustered a basket. The Bruins finished the quarter with 28 points, taking a 72-30 lead into the final period of play. In the fourth quarter, UCLA got out to a 14-3 run, extending their lead to 86-33 with under four minutes left to play.
