The UCLA Bruins take on the UT Martin Skyhawks on Friday in a Rainbow Wahine Showdown matchup. The Bruins enter the matchup as the top-ranked team in women's basketball, coming off a huge 77-62 upset win over the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday.

The Skyhawks have notched just one win through their first five games, which they recorded in their last contest on Nov. 19. They topped Missouri State 74-66 to win their first game of the season.
As expected, the No. 1 Bruins dominated in the first half, taking a 44-20 lead into the locker rooms at halftime, led by a 13-point, seven-rebound half from junior center, Lauren Betts.
The Bruins carried their momentum into the second half, outscoring UT Martin 28-10 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 72-30 entering the final period. A 25-point fourth quarter propelled UCLA to a 97-37 win over UT Martin, advancing to 6-0 on the season. Betts finished with an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double.

After going down 10-9 at the 6:05 mark of the opening quarter, UCLA picked up its momentum, closing the quarter with an 11-2 run to take a 20-12 lead into the second quarter. The Bruins continued to pour it on the Skyhawks, outscoring UT Martin 24-8 in the second quarter, extending their lead to 44-20 entering halftime. Lauren Betts led the charge for the Bruins with 13 first-half points.

UCLA opened the second half with a 14-0 run before UT Martin mustered a basket. The Bruins finished the quarter with 28 points, taking a 72-30 lead into the final period of play. In the fourth quarter, UCLA got out to a 14-3 run, extending their lead to 86-33 with under four minutes left to play.
The Bruins closed the quarter outscoring UT Martin 25-7, clinching a 97-37 win in a dominant display from the country's top-ranked team.
