The top-ranked UCLA Bruins remain undefeated after they went on the road to Alaska Airlines Center on Sunday evening and defeated the Washington Huskies 73-62 in Big Ten Conference action. Lauren Betts led the way for UCLA as she finished with 23 points and kept the Huskies at bay.

The Bruins (9-0, 1-0 Big Ten) still have their record unblemished and were able to use their offense to secure the win. The Huskies (7-3, 0-1) are playing well but had a struggling first half offensively that forced the game to be not as close as expected.

Let’s take a closer look at the UCLA Bruins and the Washington Huskies box score to see which players were able to step up.

UCLA vs. Washington Game Summary

The UCLA Bruins were able to have an outstanding offensive showing in this game as the Bruins were able to shoot 32-of-59 (54.2%) from the floor, 4-of-12 (33.3%) from the 3-point line, and 5-of-7 (71.4%) from the free-throw line.

The team was able to do a good job crashing the glass as they combined for 30 total rebounds (nine offensive, 21 defensive). UCLA had 15 assists on 32 field goals and the defense recorded four steals and four blocks. The tea dominated throughout the four quarters with 50 points in the paint.

The Washington Huskies also had a good offensive game but were a few ticks below what UCLA was able to do. The Huskies were able to shoot 23-of-57 (40.4%) overall, 8-of-22 (36.4%) from beyond the arc, and 8-of-10 (80.0%) from the charity stripe.

The team was able to win the rebounding battle with 32 total rebounds (13 offensive, 19 defensive) while the defense had five steals and five blocks throughout the fourth quarter.
