Hannah Hidalgo has been on the rise as one of the best players in women's college basketball. She has dazzled with her star performances for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. However, she also garnered some controversy over the Christmas week.
During an IG Live on Wednesday night, Hidalgo answered questions from fans and received one about what she thinks of UConn guard Azzi Fudd.
"I don’t think about her. What are you talking about? I don’t just sit and think about players, that’s what it is," Hidalgo answered.
UConn fans did not like how blunt and dismissive Hidalgo was with her take. Here are some of their reactions.
"Shes mad weirddd like girl just dont read the comment? she has no concept of professionalism," one fan said.
"Trying to fathom not liking Azzi Fudd and it’s just actually the most ridiculous thing you could possibly do," a fan wrote.
Others continued to talk about her behavior, believing that she should watch what she says before airing it out on social media.
"She is such a pr disaster and if she doesn’t grow up by the time she plays in the W, well she’s not gonna be the star she thinks she is," one fan said.
"Never beating the mean girl allegations," one fan stated.
"And you can keep the precious princess Azzi Fudd name out yooo damn mouth Hannah Hidalgo," another fan wrote.
