UConn star Paige Bueckers made an appearance on a live recording of the "A Touch More Podcast," hosted by 4X WNBA champion Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe, during the WNBA All-Star game. American actress and movie producer Aubrey Plaza was also present at the "dream podcast."
Paige Bueckers will compete in her final college season in 2024-25. However, she is already making appearances on the WNBA-bound shows and podcasts.
Paige Bueckers was also spotted at the All-Star game where she came across former UConn player Diana Taurasi. Taurasi, representing Team USA, shared a prestigious moment with Bueckers as they hugged each other.
Here is the video posted by a Bueckers fan page on Instagram:
"UConn ties run deep," the caption read.
Bueckers, a potential future WNBA All-Star, had a great 2023-24 season winning the Big East Player of the Year award. She had a chance to be a top pick in the 2024 WNBA draft as well but she decided to play one more season of college basketball.
Averaging 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists while shooting 53% last season, Bueckers is a potential No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
Paige Bueckers' inspiring words at youth camp for WNBA All-Star Weekend
Paige Bueckers has been inspiring the hoops world both on and off the court. At the youth camp for WNBA All-Star Weekend, she showered the youth with some inspiring advice while highlighting her own struggles.
"I would just say have fun, never take it for granted," Bueckers said. "Every single day you get to wake up and do what you love, so it's a blessing. I have had injuries, so I have had the game taken away from me. You never know how fast it could change.
"So never take it for granted. Some days will be tired, sometimes you might not want to go to the gym but it'll make you great and it will make you appreciate the game and love the game even more. Never take it for granted and make sure to always have fun," she added.
Bueckers will have the chance to become the face of women's college basketball next season. She has to take the sport from the level Caitlin Clark left it and take it to another level.
